What is the Atlantic Soccer League?
Atlantic Soccer League president, Dewan Bader, announced that a new boy’s regional league sanctioned by US Club Soccer began play in November 2010. The ASL announced an initial acceptance of 14 high profile clubs to participate in its inaugural season of play. Serving U-15, U-16, U-17 and U-18 teams from clubs up and down the East Coast, the ASL promises to provide top level competition, facilities and exposure for college-bound players from elite level clubs. "We are very excited about the initial member clubs and the interest from elite clubs that are looking to provide the proper environment for their players and teams. The timing is right for this league and the ASL product will be second to none," said Bader.
ASL Mission Statement
To provide non-US Soccer Development Academy clubs in the East coast region a high quality boys league in a showcase format that has significant games, limits expenses, and provides a platform for player, team and club development as well as collegiate exposure and recruiting.

ASL Events
All ASL teams will have guaranteed acceptance into the following tournaments which have a great history of providing outstanding playing facilites and college coach attendance.
The opening event of the ASL will rotate between the VCCL College Showcase and the Bethesda Thanksgiving Day Tournament.
The league has scheduled three major events in the winter and spring and will culminate the season in a season-ending championship tournament at the SAC Memorial Day Tournament.

Freestate will field boys teams in the U-15, U-16, U-17 and U-18 divisions.
