The Shooters, U16 Girls - Region 1 Premier League Representative, played this past weekend in Virginia Beach in an attempt to earn a ticket to the US Youth Soccer National Championships, the Final Four of Youth Soccer to be played in Des Moines, IA starting on July 25th.

The Shooters were placed in a tough draw being placed in Group B with the State Cup winners from New Jersey (PDA Power), Rhode Island (Rhode Island Rays Sting), and West Virginia (WVSC Rowdies).  The Shooters played well winning two matches and tieing their third but failed to advance based upon the tie-breaking rules.  Their daily results from the tournament were the following:

• Friday June 30th vs Rhode Island (Won 1-0)
• Saturday, July 1st vs West Virginia (Won 6-0)
• Sunday, July 2nd vs New Jersey (Tied 1-1)
