Christine Nairn, U17 Shooter Player, recently traveled to Mexico with the U20 Woman’s National Team for two matches against the full Mexican Women’ National team on Feb 20 and Feb 22.     Christine saw playing time in both matches contributing an assist in the second match.

Tiffany McCarty, Freestate Shooter U17 has been selected to the U.S. Under-17 Women's National Team Roster for Matches vs Germany U-17s, for March 4 & 6, 2007.  

Welcome to the new Freestate Soccer Alliance Website.  Many of the pages are still a work in progress as we migrate our data to this new site.  We hope our members will begin to see this website as a source of information as we will continuously populate the various links. 

We are excited with our new partnership with Demosphere as they are an expert in the field of supporting soccer organizations similar to ours.  Their webwriter software is extremely user-friendly and will allow the club to delegate more of our volunteers to help maintain the site to be more updated than ever before.

The Shooters, U16 Girls - Region 1 Premier League Representative, played this past weekend in Virginia Beach in an attempt to earn a ticket to the US Youth Soccer National Championships, the Final Four of Youth Soccer to be played in Des Moines, IA starting on July 25th.

The Shooters were placed in a tough draw being placed in Group B with the State Cup winners from New Jersey (PDA Power), Rhode Island (Rhode Island Rays Sting), and West Virginia (WVSC Rowdies).  The Shooters played well winning two matches and tieing their third but failed to advance based upon the tie-breaking rules. 

Freestate United sent eight teams to participate in the Regional Qualifier event the weekend of June 24th - June 27th.  The following age groups were in the competition:

• U12 - Boys and Girls
• U13 - Boys and Girls
• U15 - Boys and Girls
• U16 - Boys
• U17 - Girls

The Girls U15 team lost in the Finals 0-4, Tuesday June 27th versus Holmdel Stampede, NJ. 

It was a great effort by all of the participating teams.
