We are dedicated to serving the needs of the more committed soccer players by providing the highest level of education and instruction available thereby preparing the players to be a proud representative of the Club at local, state, regional and national competitions. Freestate strives to develop confident players who have not only reached their full athletic potential but are also prepared to become active and productive members of the community.
Location
Freestate North will have two locations,McDonogh School in Owings Mills and Fairland Park in Fairland. The home game field for Freestate North teams will be McDonogh.
Training Schedule
There will be two team practices each week and the occasional “Academy” night, when the Freestate North coaching staff puts the players in the program through technical training. The U11s, U12s, and U13s will train at both McDonogh and Fairland. The U9s and U10s will train at either McDonogh or Fairland depending on the make up of the group. Also, there will be times when Freestate North teams train with Freestate “South” teams in entire age group training sessions.
U13 Pre-ECNL and The Path Forward
The goal of the pre-ECNL teams is to prepare players to play at the highest level of soccer in the country. Once Freestate North players reach the U-14 age group, they will be placed in the Freestate Soccer Alliance player pool. From that player pool, Freestate will create two teams, an Elite Clubs National League (ECNL) team and a Maryland State Cup team.
