The Freestate Thunder ( Bowie, Md. ) U-18/19 boys (Players born 8/1/89 and younger) Division I NCSL team seeks skilled, competitive, committed and motivated players.

The team competes in the Maryland State Cup, 5-6 College Showcase Tournaments and Division I in the NCSL this spring. The Thunder are 2006 Md. State Cup semi-finalists and recently won the Columbia College Showcase and Freestate Spring Breakout Tournament.  We have been accepted to play in the Potomac Memorial Day Tournament and the US Club Regionals.  

The Thunder plan to participate in the following during the upcoming 2007/2008 season:  Raleigh Shootout, MSSL Winter College Showcase, Orlando Disney College Soccer Tournament, Score at the Shore, Jefferson Cup, Freestate Spring Breakout, Maryland State Cup, Classic Cincinnati Hammer and 2008 US Club Regionals.

The Thunder are professionally coached by Drew Hoffman who is the head coach at Washington College and recently was the Assistant Coach at West Point .  Drew has earned a US Soccer Federation Coaches Association National “A” License and a National Soccer Coach Association of “Premier Diploma”.  Drew is very active in the Olympic Development Program (ODP) and is well known throughout the soccer community.
